he third event of the Haryana leg of the Express Power Golf 2004 — following those at the Panchkula and Chandigarh golf clubs — tees off at the picturesque Golden Greens Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon on Friday.

The Express Power Golf 2004, which teed off this season with historical and ground-breaking visits to the Srinagar golf course and the Gulmarg golf course, promises exciting golf and numerous prizes for the participants, which will be calculated over an 18 hole competition.

Furthermore, the participants will have ideal golfing conditions — lush green grass, fairways that meander around bunkers and water hazards and manicured greens reflected in the bright sunshine. The slight chill in the air will offer respite from the hot golfing weather of the previous months and will be vital in portraying the golf course at its best for the participants of this tournament.

Haryana has developed as a hub for golf with three world-class golf courses in the vicinity. The DLF Golf and Country Club, the Classic Golf Resort and the Golden Greens Golf and Country Club are three of the top courses in the country; each designed by some of the best golf course architects in the world.

A forty-minute drive from central Delhi, this area offers the best golfing facilities for beginners and avid golf enthusiasts. Therefore, it is not surprising that Gurgaon is quickly becoming a favourite destination amongst the cities leading golfers.

Over 70 participants who have been invited for the Express Power Golf 2004 will tee-off with a shotgun start at eight a.m. As the crisp morning air gives way to a sunny afternoon during which time the 18-hole competition will be contested, the afternoon will gave way to socializing over lunch, which will be followed by the prize distribution.

Express Power Golf has become a significant event on the season’s golfing calendar and brings together top golfers from the corporate and business arena, giving them an opportunity to mingle during an ideal round of golf in beautiful surroundings.
